CRiSTAL 3PL Services Billing Module

Billing for services rendered to their customers by Third Party Logistic service providers is often a very tedious process, particularly when the billing is activities based.

3PL Service Billing module (3SB) is designed with the objection of enabling clients to automate the billing function and has greatly improved productivity.

One 3PL client prior to deploying 3SB is consistently late in billing their customers, with some accounts falling as far back 6 months. With 1 month of the deployment, all billings are brought up to date. Accuracy of the billing are greatly improved. Customers who have been under-billing due to the manually compiled data are rectified which result in both revenue improvement and more predictable cash flow.

3SB allow clients to create a quotation for a customer and activate it for billing upon agreement. This eliminate any problem that often arise when the wrong pricing are use in manual calculation.

Activities performed for clients captured automatically in WMS are utilized by the 3SB to compile the chargeable services. Thereby speed up the data compilation for billing without any compromise to accuracy.

3SB allows 3PL to bill based on:

Accrued
Advanced
Anniversary of the receipt date.

The billing periods include:

Daily
Weekly
Fortnightly
Monthly

and user-defined, e.g. period 10 days.

18 calculation logics are available which allows for over 1,000 permutations in calculation. It also handles non-standard package such as faced by freight forwarders.

Incorporated in the module is Accounting Entity control which enable clients to function both as 3PL and 4PL operations without making changes to their operation.
